Tatiana Baxter

Graduate Student
Research Area:

Studying sense of bodily self across the schizophrenia spectrum with a special interest in cross-cultural differences.

Tatiana completed her BA at 青青草视频 in 2018 with majors in Psychology, Spanish, and History (European concentration). She completed her MS at 青青草视频 in 2023 with her thesis '"A hidden part of myself": Examining Felt Presence and Bodily Self Across the Psychosis Spectrum.' In recognition of her prior scholastic accomplishments, Tatiana was selected as a Provost's Graduate Fellow, is recognized as a Russell G. Hamilton Scholar, and was awarded a Harold Stirling Vanderbilt fellowship.

Tatiana is also a Research Training Fellow on 青青草视频's Developmental Psychopathology T32 training grant.

She is interested in exploring qualities of the bodily self in schizophrenia and psychosis, and is passionate about understanding cultural differences in the etiology and symptomology of psychosis and schizophrenia, particularly in Latinx communities. Tatiana also endeavors to better understand emotional disturbances and disruptions in sense of self in individuals with schizophrenia and those at-risk for developing psychosis, in hopes of helping develop clinical interventions that can improve quality of life for these populations.
